1. What is Therapeutic Touch Therapy?
Therapeutic Touch Therapy (sometimes called cuddle therapy) is a safe and supportive space where you can experience the healing power of gentle, nurturing, and soft touch. Sessions are always platonic, fully clothed, and guided by clear boundaries.
2. What kind of touch is used in sessions?
All touch is safe, nurturing, and non-sexual. Sessions are always fully clothed and rooted in respect, designed to bring comfort and ease rather than physical treatment like massage.
3. What are some common misconceptions?
Some believe touch therapy is “only for lonely people” or that it must be romantic. In truth, it is a professional, supportive practice designed to bring comfort, reduce stress, and create healthy connection.
What do I wear
Soft, modest clothing like pajamas, sweatpants, or loungewear. Please arrive fresh and comfortable, with clean clothing and free of strong scents.
Will sessions be confidential?
Yes. Everything you share is private. For my personal safety, a trusted support person only knows the start and end times of my sessions — never your personal details.
Do you offer specialized care?
Yes. Sessions are always adapted to your needs. Specialized care includes compassionate touch for clients living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, medical fragility, or end-of-life journeys, as well as support for those navigating grief, stress, or neurodivergence.
What health and safety precautions do you take?
Your safety and comfort are always my top priority. I follow strict hygiene practices, including:
Keeping sessions fragrance-free so the space feels fresh and breathable
Wearing a mask when necessary (for your health or at your request)
Arriving in freshly laundered clothing
Practicing good hand hygiene before each session
4. How can it help me?
Gentle touch calms the nervous system, eases anxiety, softens feelings of isolation, and creates a sense of grounded connection. Many clients leave sessions feeling lighter, more relaxed, and cared for.
5. What do sessions look like?
We begin with conversation and set clear boundaries together. From there, we move into comforting touch — such as hugging, hand-holding, or resting side by side — always at your pace.
6. What is Empatherapy™?
Empatherapy is the blend of empathetic listening and nurturing touch. It allows you to feel truly heard, seen, and supported in both body and heart.
